The Wild Tonics

A vintage-style vocal trio.

The Wild Tonics are a postmodern jukebox-style band, inspired by Baz Luhrmann's movie sound track The Great Gatsby. Their passion is close harmony and remixing the world's favourite pop tunes into their own signature style.

Step back in time.

Classic entertainment for the modern audience.
The Wild Tonics are the UK's premium vocal trio. Over their 12 years together, they've performed all over the world, from India to Switzerland to Athens. They produced their demo with the musicians of The Bryan Ferry Orchestra. They've performed for the likes of Queen Elizabeth II, Rod Stewart and Rodger Federer, to name a few. They worked closely with Baz Lurhmann and Catherine Martin on the launch of Celia onboard the Belmond British Pullman, on which they are the resident singers. They also worked with Universal for the launch of the Wicked movie, and last year they headlined Glastonbury as the official backing vocalists for the Brit Award-winning band The Fratellis!
" The exhilarating ripple of her voice was a wild tonic in the rain. "
F. Scott Fitzgerald - The Great Gatsby (1925)

Get in Touch

We are a vintage vocal trio inspired by the Great Gatsby soundtrack. We take current hits and remix them into our signature close-harmony vintage-jazz arrangements. Think pop tunes with a unique classic twist.

Weddings, private parties, corporate and brand events, and venue residencies. We are the resident singers on board the Belmond British Pullman and the official backing singers for Brit Award-winning band The Fratellis. We tailor the performance to the occasion, from relaxed background music to a lively set.

We are UK-based and perform across the UK and internationally, having sung all over the world, from festivals in India to the alps in Switzerland to hotels in Athens. We also have a line-up in Melbourne, Australia.

All line-ups can be tailored to what you need: backing tracks and singers; backing tracks, singers and a live saxophonist; guitarist and singers; or a live band of anything from 3 to 8 pieces. We build the right line-up around your venue, audience and budget.

Every booking is tailored to your event and chosen line-up, and whether you need us to provide sound equipment and an engineer, so pricing is on enquiry. Send us your date, location and rough guest numbers and we will put a quote together for you.

Get in touch through the website, by email at [email protected], or by phone. Tell us your date, venue and the sort of performance you have in mind, and we will take it from there.

Yes. Our arrangements are bespoke, and we are happy to discuss first dances, special songs and requests so the day feels like yours. Depending on the request, there may be an extra charge.

We usually perform two sets of around 45 minutes, and we have up to three 45-minute sets of material, so we can play longer if you would like. We are happy to work the set lengths around your day, with material ranging from lounge-style to up-tempo.

We are used to adapting to all kinds of spaces and need only a modest performance area and access to power.

This depends on the event, and whether there is an extra cost. Most events require us to hire additional equipment, and we always work with a sound engineer. We prefer to work with our trusted partner Summit Sounds, but if you are providing the sound we will simply send you our tech rider.

Yes. We are fully insured with public liability cover and our equipment is PAT-tested, and we are happy to provide certificates whenever your venue asks for them.

As early as you can, especially for weekends and peak season, though we will always do our best for shorter notice.

We certainly can, and we also have costumes that are not 1920s style but are still very glamorous.

We can perform across the day, from a ceremony or drinks reception through to the evening.

We have performed together for over a decade. We are the resident singers on the Belmond British Pullman, were the backing vocalists for The Fratellis at Glastonbury, and have worked with Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, and with Universal on the launch of Wicked.

Yes, we can provide anything from an instrumental duet to a jazz trio or quartet.

Yes. If you would prefer a single voice rather than the full trio, we can provide a soloist to suit the mood of your event.
