Looking for Perfection?
The three of us originally met back home in Doncaster sixteen years ago!
Here we discovered a great friendship, a shared passion for music & performing and the romance of the good old days!
Seven years ago on a very rainy day in January, we decided we wanted to sing together
Our research showed that no-one was really doing the twenties, we rewound a little further to the speakeasies and three 1920s singers were born!
Our top part gal, can usually be heard singing in the rafters with the high harmonies and you’ll probably find her stood in the middle as she’s all of 5ft3!
She’s pretty nifty at getting the girls to the gigs as she’ll have planned the journey, packed the bags and factored in time for a cup of tea well in advance.
She likes to keep the girls entertained with her impressions of people but don’t worry she wont be doing any on the mic!
Her fave Tonic tunes are Thong Song and Drunk in Love.
Our middle voice- the meat in the sandwich if you will.
Obsessed with all things vintage, she loves to trawl a vintage market looking for forgotten gems.
Most often found at a gig either scanning the buffet or trying to remember whether she stands on the right or left.
Her favourite Tonic tune is Bohemian Like You.
Our buttery biscuit bass, on the bottom harmony.
When’s she’s not living life as a 1920s Tonic flapper, you can find her spirit child lodged firmly in the 90s.
Annabel appreciates Harriet’s premature detailed travel plans as she likes to get the gang to the airport a strong 5 hours before the flight, whether they like it or not.
At gigs you can also most probably hear her ad libbing dad jokes over the songs from time to time, if you happen to catch the punch line do let us know!
Annabel’s favourite Tonic track is Lullaby of Broadway and she very much enjoys the rap in Vogue... rapping is possibly her calling.
